Moo shu Pork

Shelly from C Mom Cook has dared us to make Moo Shu Pork for this month's edition of Daring cooks. Well here comes my version of Moo Shu for You! Tonight I'm alone, getting over the flu, not really hungry but knowing that tomarrow is my deadline I've pulled up my sleaves and gotten to work. Plum sauce: Pit some plums. Onion and Mushroom Quiche with a Bread Crumbs Crust

For me a good quiche is about two things: A. the dough and B. the silky texture of the egg mixture In this recipe I wanted to play with the dough. I didn't want a flaky puff pastry nor the savory crumble of "pâte brisé", I wanted something... crunchy. And that is how the breadcrumbs crust was born. Incidently I also had a lot of breadcrumbs that I needed to use... Split pea spread

Boil 1 1/2 cups of dried split peas until cooked. Drain and set aside.Sauté up 1 chopped up onion, 1/3 cup dried shallots and 1 1/2 cups diced mushrooms (this is a good recipe to use those stringy stems...)Blend all the ingredients up in your food processor with a little olive oil.Then stir in 1/2 cup of brewer's yeast and some salt and pepper.   Serve spread on crackers as an appetizer, on toast for breakfast, in a sandwich or add to sauces to give a nice creamy texture and a boost of flavor!   En Français... Pizzettas au Poulet et Pesto sur un lit de Roquette et de Champignon frais...

Preheat your oven to 200°C.Melt 1 big tbs of honey in 2 tbs of lemon juice and 2 of olive oil.Cut 4 chicken breasts into strips and put them in a baking dish. Pour the honey mixture on top and sprinkle with d'herbes de provence before baking for 15min. Cut in 2 2 pre-made flaky pastry shells and shape the halfs into 4 pizzettas. Spread on some pesto.Then add the marinated chicken. Top the pizzettas off with some freash mozzarella (2 ball should be enough but 4 is yummier!).Bake for about 15min or until the dough is golden.Serve on a... [Lire la suite]

Sunday night Lasagna

Fry:1 chopped onion2 mergezes Slice thinly1 small eggplant2/3 zucchini1 tomato Chop 1 red pepper Fry:4-5 mushrooms. Retrive the water from the mushrooms ( I used frozen mushrooms so there was a lot of excess juice) Whisk in 3 tbs maizenaDash of dried garlic5-6 spins of the pepper grounder1/2 tea salt Heat stiring constantlyAdd 250ml milkWhen the sauce thickens take away from the heat.
